This is wonderful. For me it seems a dramatic image. Trying to reach beyond the self, to excel and to yearn for that which is beyond our reach is a very human thing. For me it seems to be saying that this person is striving to become better, and more than they have been. It is really an amazing, creative, and thought provoking image.
There is also an interesting difference about this image that makes it unique as well. There is also a sense of desperation here. This could also be seen as someone who is reaching for help, someone who feels hopeless, and desperately needs a hand from someone who is beyond their reach. It could be seen as a cry for help too.
I find it unusual to find a piece of art that conveys two completely different moods to it.
I also like the fact that the person is unidentifiable. This could be every person at some point in our lives. Despite the dramatic impact this has, there is a quality to the blue filtering you used that also gives this a serene feel too. All in all Mike, I think this is an exceptional piece of art.
Thank You Lea! I was striving for the two different themes within this piece as well and I'm glad you see what is being conveyed here. What a great sense of Art you have!

Thank you Mike. This piece does have those qualities, which I think would be hard to accomplish most of the time. It is really excellent.

Thank you so much for the time you take to look at my art, comment and choose favorites. I may not always thank you but I appreciate it more than you know.
